Chargé d’Affaires Madina Qasimi Meets Afghan Diplomats Participating from China-US Joint Training Program

Ms. Madina Qasimi, Minister Counselor and Chargé d’Affairés joined Ms. Emilia Puma, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of State, and Minister Counselor Zhang, to congratulate a delegation of 15 young Afghan diplomats participating in a training program that gives them the opportunity to gain first-hand experience and critical insights into the world of diplomacy and international relations with visits to China and the United States. The program enhances the trilateral cooperation between Afghanistan, the United States, and China.

Ms. Madina Qasimi congratulated the young diplomats and explained the importance of the training program stating that it “represents a great opportunity for our young diplomats to improve their knowledge and skills, and also it is a unique opportunity for regional and international cooperation”. She added, “we are thankful for our international allies, especially the United States and China that work toward a prosperous Afghanistan.”
