Open House for Cultural Tourism’s and Passport DC’s Day

April 10, 2017:  The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is participating in Washington, DC’s largest cultural event of the year—Around the World Embassy Tour on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On this day, participating embassies will open their doors to the public and welcome whoever is interested to learn about their countries. Last time our Embassy participated, we welcomed about 4000 visitors into the Embassy to learn about Afghanistan. For more information about Passport DC, please visit:

During this year’s event, the Embassy is delighted to have the participation of several vendors and exhibitors from the Afghan-American community who will share with visitors a taste of Afghanistan, including traditional clothing, food, music, art, handicrafts, jewelry, dried fruits and spices, and other artisan products.

This event is free and open to the public. We look forward to welcoming you to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Washington DC.
